Metelli Group will be taking part in Automechanika Frankfurt from 13th to 17th September 2016, with a stand of about 160 sq. metres, fully renewed thanks to an updated structure and more modern, appealing graphics to underline the constant renewal of the Group's passion for its work, begun more than 50 years ago. The company continues to invest in brake pads and will be taking advantage of the fair to present the latest technical improvements that have increased the quality of this fundamental product, bringing it perfectly in line with the foremost OES brands. The technology developed by Metelli isHybriX; it's a mix of organic and ceramic materials and other special, innovative products. The addition of a new metallic support and a sub-layer of a specific braking material (underlayer) in a different colour provides a clear visual signal when the friction material has worn out. Together they guarantee greater comfort and a longer lifespan, better braking performance, increased mechanical resistance, reduced vibrations/noise, and less aggressiveness on the disc, not to mention the complete absence of toxic or environmentally harmful materials. That's why the HybriX technology has obtained the American "Better Brake Law" certification, indicated by three small black leaves - top recognition in terms of environmental impact. Other products that Metelli continues to invest in are its water pumps. Alongside the current range and the distribution kits, there are now new versions for heavy industrial vehicles, bringing the number of references to around 1,000. This latest line of water pumps is supported by a new ad hoc catalogue containing a total of around 100 codes covering more than 250 models, including the following applications: Iveco Daf XF105/XF95/CF85; Mercedes Axor/Atego/Actros; Man TGX/TGM/TGS; Renault Premium/Kerax; Scania Serie K/P/G/R; Volvo FL/FH/FE/FMX. It is for this reason that the R&D department has developed a new solution for the water pump 24-1085 (Fiat / Alfa Romeo / Jeep / Opel with1.9 JTD, 2.0 JTD, 2.2 Mjt engines ) realizing 24-1352 with a reinforced bearing, which will complement the current version of 24-1085. Furthermore, since obtaining a patent for its switchable water pump 24-1167/PA1167/101167, the company has continued to develop products for new applications. 10 new references are being prepared for the following applications: MERCEDES Class S, E, C, A, Sprinter, Viano and AUDI A4, A5, A6, A7. The activated water pump is a blend of technology and innovation. It works by means of a mobile damper that's free to move in the axial direction and is activated via a pneumatic mechanism that interrupts the fluid circulation in the cooling circuit. There is significant news in the transmission segment as well. The range of constant-velocity joints is being extended with the introduction of 8-ball versions. This latest configuration enables the creation of a more compact and efficient product, with less weight and reduced transmitted torque loss.
